"Figuring it out" as a mom trying to navigate her health after babies

ree

As I mark my tenth "BIRTHday" today, I'm looking back on my health and fitness journey and how it has evolved over the years—from the pre-baby phase to the time after my first child, and then following my second. Before having kids, I was a gym enthusiast, and that was my sole approach to staying fit. After my first child, a decade ago, I still attempted to visit the gym. Here's a bit about me and my journey…

After facing the #momlife challenges of prioritizing my health #postpartum, I decided to end the ongoing struggle of trying to get to the gym and reluctantly began a #homegym workout routine, joining a virtual accountability group. I didn't expect it to work for me… BUT IT DID!

In fact, I got into better shape after having three children and undergoing c-sections than during my gym-obsessed years. I grew to love the process, my 20-45 minute home workouts, and my morning routine of me-time. Ultimately, I transformed my entire outlook on health and fitness. 🥹 It changed my life.

These three keep me busy… and make ME BUSY! You feel like there's no time for self-care because you're occupied with them, right?

Shift that mindset: make them your REASON, not your excuse.

One of the toughest aspects of getting or staying fit is maintaining CONSISTENCY and overcoming the BELIEF that you lack enough time. Yes, that's right, it's a belief, not a fact. We all have the same amount of time in a day; the difference lies in how we choose to use it.

So how much time does it take? Dedicate 20 minutes, 1.4% of your day, to get the endorphins going and boost your mood. Start by building the habit of just 20 minutes. See where it leads you. 20 minutes a day might be enough to change your life! Don't believe it?? I dare you to try...

Like everyone else, I don’t HAVE a lot of time. And that's the beauty of the workouts I engage in every morning, from wherever I am… It leaves little room for excuses and makes it much easier to consistently prioritize your health!

Cheers to "figuring it out" as a busy mom!!! Keep pushing play on your workouts, even when you don't feel like it, and never give up! I am in your corner :)
